The Granary

The Granary, also built in 1785, was originally used to store grain. 

The old millstones, which were used to grind the wheat, were found nearby.

The Granary has now been transformed into a beautiful two bedroom cottage with both bedrooms en-suite.

There is an open plan dining room and kitchen which is fully equipped. 

The scullery has a washing machine and tumble drier for your convenience.

This cottage also has WIFI. 

Welbeloond offers a peaceful and tranquil setting but should you wish to go shopping or visit wine farm and restaurants, they are nearby.

Other

Satellite television is available at no extra charge, for resting and entertainment in the cottage. There is also a secure safe for your valuables. This also makes the Old Bull Pen the perfect place to visit in the winter months!

Mountain Biking

Start your day with a ride along the Rural Mountain Bike Trail, the perfect journey for beginners and endurance riders alike. Take in the scenery as you meander through a range of stunning Durbanville Farms. You can even opt to stop along the way for wine tastings and special events.

Golfing

The Milnerton Golf Course and Atlantic Beach Golf Estate are both in close proximity if you’re keen for a day on the greens. 

Considering that Welbeloond is a mere 30 minutes from Cape Town’s city center, you’ll have easy access from everything to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, to local markets and Bloubergstrand (the closest beach – approximately 15 minutes away). However, you’ll find that Welbeloond is secluded enough to offer you a breakaway and country experience for the duration of your stay if you prefer it.

 

 These conditions are necessary to ensure the wellbeing of our valued Guests and the orderly management of the Welbeloond Function Venue and Cottages 

1. Reservations, Payment and Terms. 

1.1. The establishment operates on a self-catering basis and does not provide or arrange other services such as meals, personal laundry, transport, tours, events parties baby-sitting and conferences. The housekeeping services are reserved for occupancies of longer than a week and should they be required more frequently, they are available at an additional cost. 

1.2. The number of adults sharing the cottage must be provided at the time when reservation is made. Persons over the age of 12 years are classified as adults. Occupation of the cottage by the number of persons specified during the reservation is strictly restricted and any additional residents will be billed pro-rata. This restriction is necessitated by the facilities provided for the use and enjoyment of the registered residents. 

1.3. EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), is the desired form of payment. Confirmation of receipt of payment will be acknowledged on successful reservation. 

1.4. Accommodation rates are subject to change without notice. Written quotations are valid for 30 days, unless otherwise specified. In case of a faulty double reservation, the payment that reflects first in our bank account will secure the accommodation, and the later payment will be refunded in full. 

1.5. Payment in full on successful reservation secures the cottage. A 50% refund of the payment made will be given if the reservation is cancelled up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival. No refund will be considered if reservation is cancelled within 30 days of expected arrival. 

2. Arrival, Departure and Facilities. 

2.1. Unless prior alternative arrangements have been made, check-in time is between 14h00 and 19h00 and check-out time is by 10h00. 

2.2. Parking is available next to the cottages. Parking under the carports is reserved for Guests only. One remote control for the main gate and a set of keys is provided for each cottage. Replacement of lost keys or remote controls is for the account of the occupier of the cottage. Please note that Guests must provide access to their own delivery services (e.g. take-aways), using their gate remote control. 

2.3. The office is available from 08h00 to 18h00 during week days and from 08h00 to 13hoo on weekends and public holidays. After hours contact numbers of the Welbeloond management team, are provided in each of the cottages. 

2.4. Each cottage has a private outside braai unit, a weber braai device and an internal fireplace. Firewood is provided, when available. 

2.5. Please do be considerate when it comes to noise levels and avoid loud music. Firworks are not permitted to be let off o and around the property 

3. Security, loss and damages to Welbeloond property. 

3.1 Although Welbeloond takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of guests and their possessions, Guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security. Keep cottages locked at all times. Considerate use of plumbing and electricity will be much appreciated and please note that the Guest is liable for any loss or damages (excluding wear and tear) to the property of Welbeloond. 

4. General Incapacity and Limit to Liability. 

4.1. Welbeloond cannot be held liable for unanticipated interruption of electricity, water, sewage to, from, in the cottage; industrial action, civil uprising or criminal activity; fire, frost, flooding, subsidence or any act of God. 

4.2 The maximum liability of Welbeloond for any event, condition for which a Guest may institute a claim is limited to the value of one day’s accommodation. Please do not hesitate to contact the Welbeloond management team should you observe or experience anything that does not meet your expectations.
